Bon Iver Teasing First New Album In 5 Years

Justin Vernon‘s Bon Iver project is teasing its first new album in five years in a mysterious social media post, although no concrete information has yet been made available about the timing or content of the Jagjaguwar project. For now, fans are directed to pre-save the content through a link from the Bon Iver website.

Vernon is known to have recorded a wealth of material since the last Bon Iver full-length, 2019’s I, I, although he hasn’t released music under that name since the 2020 one-offs “PDLIF” and “AUTC.” He has, however, appeared on songs by numerous artists in recent years, including Big Red Machine, the National and Zach Bryan.

More from Spin:

Vernon’s only live appearance so far this year came last month at a rally for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in the artist’s hometown of Eau Claire, Wi. He is also reportedly collaborating with Charli xcx on an as-yet-untitled song, according to a recent New York interview with the latter.
