King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Reboot Their Pageant

As expected, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will stage a second edition of their bespoke camping festival, Field of Vision, on Aug. 14-16 at Meadow Creek in Buena Vista, Co. The Australian group’s only other U.S. shows of 2026 will be Aug. 20-22 at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, where they will play two rock sets in tandem with an all-electronic rave set.

Blood Incantation, Die Spitz, DJ Crenshaw, Earth Tongue, Etran de L’Aïr, Folk Bitch Trio, Lisa Bella Donna, Pattie Gonia and Upchuck round out the Field of Vision lineup, with Gizzard performing all three nights. Tickets for the fest and the Forest Hills trifecta all go on sale Friday (Dec. 5).

According to organizers, fans traveled from more than 50 different countries to attend the first Field of Vision, which featured three distinct, three-hour long King Gizzard sets. “Before we came here, we’re like, fuck, what’s this going to be? How’s it going to feel? We had the option for next year, and ongoing, but we’re like, we have to wait and see how it feels,” group member Joey Walker said from the stage on the closing night. “Now that we’re here, and I’m assuming that you guys have had a good time, we’re going to do it again.”

The scarcity of U.S. performances in 2026 follows a run of only 12 shows on the continent this year, which was instead dominated by international gigs. Gizzard will also play seven Australian shows over the next two weeks, marking their first proper run in their homeland since late 2021.

In the meantime, the band remains hard at work on its 28th studio album, which is being composed on the bespoke modular synthesizer hub dubbed Nathan. This same setup has been utilized at recent rave shows, during which Gizzard transformed numerous songs originally performed on guitar into new electronic arrangements.

Gizzard removed its catalog from Spotify in late July in opposition to outgoing CEO Daniel Ek’s personal investments in AI military drone technology.
