Kendrick Lamar Set For Tremendous Bowl LIX Halftime Display

After previously appearing as a special guest at Dr. Dre and Eminem’s 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Kendrick Lamar will headline the next edition of the mid-game spectacle on Feb. 9, 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The show will air live on Fox and will be produced by Jay-Z and Roc Nation for a sixth year.

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one,” said Lamar, who shared in the Emmy for outstanding live variety special for the 2022 show with Jay-Z, Jesse Collins and other guests such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.

The upcoming show will be creative directed by Lamar and longtime collaborator Dave Free’s pgLang company. It follows Usher’s appearance at Super Bowl LVIII, which scored three Emmy nominations and a record average of 129.3 million viewers.

“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” Jay-Z said. “His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”

Lamar hasn’t released an album since 2022’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, but he has been in the spotlight for months thanks to a feud with Drake, during which they released a number of songs taking aim at one another.
