Netflix has released the official Beauty in Black trailer for the forthcoming drama, which serves as the first-ever series that Tyler Perry has created with the streamer. It is scheduled to start streaming on Thursday, October 24, with the release of the first eight episodes.

What happens in the Beauty in Black trailer?
The video teases a high-stakes drama about family and corruption. It highlights the contrasting lives of two women as their paths converge. The series will be led by Taylor Polidore Williams (Snowfall) as Kimmie and Crystle Stewart (Tyler Perry’s The Oval) as Mallory.
“It follows two women leading very different lives,” reads the logline. “While Kimmie is struggling to make ends meet after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory finds success running her own business. Eventually, they find themselves entangled in each other’s lives.”
Beauty in Black is written, directed, and executive produced by Perry. The series is also produced by Will Areu, Angi Bones and Tony Strickland. Additional cast includes Amber Reign Smith as Rain, Ricco Ross as Horace, Debbi Morgan as Olivia, Richard Lawson as Norman, Steven G.
