Flavor Flav Is The Ultimate Hype Man!
It’s not a secret that Flav prides himself on his hype man abilities in all situations. He recently took his positive, high-energy persona to Paris to help hype up the women’s water polo team.
“You want people to have energy. You want people to have fun, the whole nine. You want to hype them up and bring them into the moment. A lot of people that’s not really having fun, I don’t call them being in the moment. Being in the moment is fun,” he exclusively told The Blast last month.
“Back in the day, we used to do our parties, and the music is really banging, but the people are just sitting down and sitting around. Nobody’s on the dance floor, and you want everybody to come on, wake up, man. It’s important for me to hype people up because I want people to be energetic like me.”
The rapper said that one of the most amazing moments in his life was his time at the Olympics hyping up the water polo team.
“They got three back-to-back gold medals. I would love to see them really make history and get that fourth gold medal, so I said to myself, why not step up to the plate, man? Help these girls out to see if we can push them in that direction of getting that fourth gold medal. So that was my purpose of supporting the water polo team and being over in Paris trying to be their hype man,” he explained.
“Even though my girls finished fourth this year, it’s okay, because there’s always more competitions and games to come. They did a great job this year. I commend the girls and the guys too. I commend them all.”
