Name  Adam Gontier

Best known for  Three Days Grace

More from Spin:

Current city  Nashville, TN

Really want to be in  I’d travel back in time two months, and head to Northern Ontario Canada to do some fishing.

Excited about  Rejoining Three Days Grace, creating new music, and touring the world in 2025.

My current music collection has a lot of  New rock/metal.

And a little bit of  ‘70s and ‘80s.

Preferred format  Gotta be vinyl. Love going through my collection (and my late father’s) of old records and dropping the needle.

5 Albums I Can’t Live Without:

1

Grace, Jeff Buckley

Jeff was such a unique talent, incredible singer and writer. The first time I heard Grace, it absolutely blew me away. I’d never heard anything like it. And haven’t since. It’s such a journey from Mojo Pin to Dream Brother. No chance I could live without this one.

2

Diamond Eyes, Deftones

Crushing tones, top tier songwriting, and insanely good melodies makes it my favorite Deftones album.

3

Day for Night, The Tragically Hip

I grew up with The Hip so they’re ingrained into my DNA. And this album is just too good. The late Gordon Downie was/is, in my opinion, the greatest Canadian lyricist of all time. Yeah I said it. Fight me.

4

The Getaway, Chris De Burgh

This is all nostalgia for me. My late father listened to this album my entire childhood, so this is another one that’s ingrained into my core. Not to mention Chris De Burgh was an insanely good songwriter, and had such a cool unique voice.

5

Vs., Pearl Jam

Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam were a BIG influence on me at 14 years old when I was just starting to write my own songs. They’ve always been one of my favorite bands, and this album is too good to not have in my top five.
