There’s a chance that Claire might go back to her evil roots after Cole’s demise. However, the makers of The Young and the Restless haven’t confirmed it.
In an interview with Michael Fairman TV, Amelia Heinle, who plays Victoria Newman, praised Hayley’s layered portrayal of Claire but admitted she was disappointed that her character has lately turned good. She hopes to see Hayley return to her evil side.
She said, “I loved when Hayley first came on and she was kind of fooling us all in the office as Claire. I think her personality layered that really well, because Hayley is kind of cut and dry when she talks in real life. It kind of lends itself to that sort of a story. I was disappointed when they started making her so good and, ‘I love kids.’ I’m like, ‘No! I want you to be bad. You were so good, bad!’ It’s more interesting. I hope they go back that direction.”
Sharing her thoughts on the impact Claire’s potential return to evil might now have on Victoria, she added, ” I think when they do, Victoria will figure it out, obviously, but it’ll probably take her a while, because Victoria’s always a day late and a dollar short. But they write that! (Laughs)”
In a January 2025 episode, Claire notably teamed up with Victoria and Nikki to get rid of Jordan, who had initially lured her into hating the Newman family. She summons Jordan to the ranch and tricks him into drinking poisoned tea. She also gets important information about Sharon’s kidnapping and watches, unfazed, as Jordan succumbs to death. With many missing Claire’s evil side, it remains to be seen if the show will bring it back.
