Kristin Cabot has resigned as Chief People Officer of Astronomer’s HR following a viral “kiss cam” incident at a Coldplay concert. The July 16 footage from Gillette Stadium showed her embracing CEO Andy Byron, bringing significant public attention and prompting her departure from the company.

Astronomer’s former head of HR has left the tech company after her viral footage at the Coldplay concert with the company’s CEO took over the internet.
As per the BBC, Kristin Cabot no longer works at the tech company. Before Cabot’s apparent exit, reports stated that the CEO, Andy Byron, had also resigned from his position.
Previously, Byron and Cabot, as identified by several media reports, were caught embracing each other on a Coldplay kiss cam. Upon realizing they are in focus, the pair immediately tried ducking away. However, their shocked reactions turned the footage viral, leading to extreme public exposure and scrutiny.
Social media users quickly found out that both the CEO and the chief people officer, who attended the concert, had spouses. Online commenters theorized that the camera caught their “affair,” prompting their immediate attempt to hide from the jumbotron.
Additionally, fans started searching for details of Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot’s family life. As per reports, Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan and shares two children with her. On the other hand, Kristin Cabot’s husband is Privateer Rum CEO Andrew Cabot.
A New York Post report further alleged that Andrew Cabot was on a “business trip” when his wife attended the Coldplay concert with the Astronomer CEO. The embarrassing public exposure reportedly blindsided the former Astronomer employee’s family members.
An insider further told the publication, “The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating,” the source added. They added, “which I find interesting since as of a month ago they were saying how in love they are.”
Amid her resignation from Astronomer HR, Kristin Cabot has not yet commented on the incident.
