Universal Pictures has released the first Reminders of Him trailer, previewing the upcoming adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel starring Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers. Reminders of Him is set to release on March 13, 2026.
“After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter, Diem, whom she has never known,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Reminders of Him trailer?
The trailer highlights the love story of Kenna and Scott, the latter of whom dies in an accident that sends Kenna to prison for seven years. After returning, Kenna finds a job at a bar owned by Ledger, and soon comes to find that he and Scotty’s family are taking care of her daughter, Diem.
Alongside Monroe and Withers, Reminders of Him also stars Rudy Pankow, Lauren Graham, Bradley Whitford, Lainey Wilson, and Nicholas Duvernay. The film is directed by Vanessa Caswill and written by Colleen Hoover and Lauren Levine. The movie is based on Hoover’s novel of the same name, which was published in 2022.
Hoover, Levine, Grant Scharbo, and Gina Matthews serve as producers on the film. For Hoover, this is her fifth novel that’s been adapted into a film. Previously, her novels Confess, It Ends With Us, and Regretting You have all been turned into movies. Next year, alongside Reminders of Him, the psychological romantic thriller Verity will also be released, starring Anne Hathaway, Josh Hartnett, and Dakota Johnson.
