Remaining Rites HBO Max Unlock Date Set for Horror Film


Warner Bros. has finally announced the HBO Max release date for the upcoming streaming debut of The Conjuring: Last Rites. This marks Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga‘s final outing as Ed and Lorraine Warren over a decade after starring in the first installment of James Wan’s blockbuster horror franchise.

“The film delivers another thrilling chapter of the iconic Conjuring cinematic Universe, based on real events. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reunite for one last case as renowned, real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in a powerful and spine-chilling addition to the global box office-breaking franchise,” reads the official synopsis. “Experience the case that strikes at the core of Ed and Lorraine’s mission and attacks the very heart of the Warren family… their daughter, Judy.”

When is the HBO Max release date for The Conjuring: Last Rites?

The Conjuring: Last Rites will be available for streaming starting on Friday, November 21 exclusively on HBO Max. This will be followed by its broadcast debut on Saturday, November 22, at 8:00 p.m. ET on HBO.

The movie was directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay written by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, based on a story by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and franchise creator James Wan. Joining Wilson and Farmiga in the final installment are Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, Elliot Cowan, Madison Lawlor, Orion Smith, Beau Gadsdon, Peter Wight, Kate Fahy, Kíla Lord Cassidy, and more. It was produced by Wan and Peter Safran, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Hans Ritter, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Natalia Safran, John Rickard, and Chaves serving as executive producers.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, the movie still became the franchise’s highest-grossing installment, with a worldwide gross of $436 million at the box office. Because of this, The Conjuring is now officially the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time.
