Jason Statham’s Shelter just hit the theaters, and fans are wondering whether the movie has a mid or post-credit scene. Given the nature of modern movies, where inserting an end-credit scene to set up a potential sequel has become the norm, viewers want to know if they need to stay till the credits finish rolling.
Here are the details on whether the movie has any bonus scenes.
Does Jason Statham’s Shelter have a mid, post, or end-credits scene?
No, Jason Statham’s Shelter does not have any mid or post-credit scenes. It is a standalone action thriller movie with no current plans for making it a series.
Shelter first premiered at the Cineworld Leicester Square in London on January 20, 2026, and later debuted in cinemas on January 30, 2026. Ric Roman Waugh has directed the movie, who also helmed Greenland 2: The Migration, which arrived in cinemas earlier this month, with a script from Ward Parry.
The movie features Statham as Michael Mason, a former government assassin. After escaping the government, he secludes himself on an island near the coast of Scotland with a dog. A young girl named Jessie, played by Bodhi Rae Breathnach, brings him supplies every week. When she gets caught in a violent storm, Mason leaves the island to save her.
However, his heroic act triggers the MI6’s surveillance program, which then tries to hunt him down, putting Jessie in the path of danger. After surviving the island, Mason continues to protect the young girl while trying to find a way out for her.
The movie also features Bill Nighy, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Tom Wu, and Anna Crilly, among others, in prominent roles.
Since its release, Shelter has received favorable reviews from critics. Currently, the movie has a 71% Tomatometer from over 56 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Since the movie just hit theaters, the rating could substantially change in the coming days.
ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim rated the movie 6.5/10.
