Netflix will add many new titles to its content library this month, including its celebrated racing series‘ latest season. The streamer’s popular F1-based docuseries’ eighth installment is among these upcoming releases.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 8 races to Netflix this month

Formula 1 fans who have an active Netflix subscription will be able to watch Drive to Survive Season 8 on their preferred devices when it hits its release date later this month. The high-octane documentary series is currently on track to release its latest season, which encapsulates yet another thrilling F1 campaign, on February 27, 2026.

The upcoming edition of the beloved Netflix racing series will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the 2025 campaign, which saw McLaren’s Lando Norris secure his first championship title in seven seasons in the top flight. The British racer secured his debut title win at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last race of the 2025 season, pipping fellow McLaren driver Oscar Piastri and Red Bull’s perennial winner Max Verstappen to the top position with 423 points.

The 2025 Formula 1 season saw several twists and turns, with Piastri initially establishing himself as the favorite to come out on top. The Australian wunderkind’s form and Norris’ grit saw McLaren walk away with the Constructors’ Championship with an unparalleled 833 points and 34 podium finishes. However, Verstappen almost put a dent in an otherwise perfect season for McLaren by mounting a second-half charge. The Dutchman tried his best to spoil Norris’ debut F1 title but ultimately fell short, finishing the season two points behind his rival.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 8’s release date will closely precede the start of the new F1 campaign, with the 2026 season commencing on March 6-8 with the Australian Grand Prix.
