ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for Silver Star, the upcoming crime thriller led by Grace Van Dien (Stranger Things) and Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson (Boots). The movie will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on March 31, 2026.
“Billie, 20, a sharp-tongued ex-con from a strict military family, gets out of jail to find her estranged parents facing eviction. Desperate to help, she plans a botched bank robbery; instead of cash, she escapes with an accidental hostage: Franny, 18, heavily pregnant, reckless, and oddly thrilled by the chaos,” reads the synopsis. “With sirens closing in, the mismatched pair hit the road, scheming and stumbling through one disastrous plan after another. But as their uneasy partnership turns into something neither expected, Franny offers Billie a risky deal that could save them both — or make everything worse.”

What happens in the Silver Star trailer?
The video introduces Billie and Franny, two young, troubled women who suddenly formed an unlikely alliance with each other after a failed bank robbery. They end up going on an eventful roadtrip in an attempt to find the money that Billie needs. Along the way, they’ll keep making one bad plan after another.
Silver Star is written and directed by Ruben Amar and Lola Bessis. The ensemble cast also includes Johnath Davis, Tamara Fruits, Getchie Argetsinger, Ekaterina Baker, Joey Giambattista, Josh Silverman, Amy Tribbey, Noa Fisher, Odley Jean, Jarvis Tomdio, and more.
