Henry Cavill’s Superman stuns in Zack Snyder’s Justice League photo

Director Zack Snyder recently posted a photo of Henry Cavill as Superman on his Instagram account to celebrate Easter.

Snyder wrote in the caption, “Happy Easter,” whereas the photo showcased a shot of Cavill from his Justice League movie. It is from the scene where Cavill’s Superman is resurrected and flies into space.

An Instagram user commented on the shot, “One of my Favourite shot from ZSJL, thank you @zacksnyder.” Another fan expressed their demand for the Snyderverse to be restored and wrote, “just bring back the synderverse already!!!” A third user stated that Snyder is hinting at the restoration of his Snyderverse and noted, “This is how I see Zack Snyder announcing the return of the Snyderverse.”

Cavill last appeared as Superman in a cameo role in the 2022 movie, Black Adam, featuring Dwayne Johnson. Although this fueled hope among many fans that Cavill would return as the Man of Steel, the actor revealed in December 2022 that he was leaving the role. He took to his Instagram account and conveyed, “I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran, and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman.”

Cavill added that while there had been talk of his return previously, that wasn’t the case anymore. The actor wished Gunn and Safran, who were all set to reboot DC and scrap Snyder’s DC Extended Universe. Cavill also expressed gratitude to his supporters and asserted that they can “mourn” his retirement from the role. However, he conveyed that his fans “must remember, Superman is still around.”

David Corenswet took over the role of Superman in James Gunn’s rebooted DCU.
