Ken Carson Crafts New LP, ‘Xperiment’

Ken Carson isn’t wasting any time following the success of More Chaos. The Atlanta rapper has announced that his next full-length project, xperiment, will arrive July 3. There’s no track list yet, but Carson has also launched a suite of pre-orders featuring vinyl editions, exclusive merchandise and other collectibles tied to the release.

The reveal caps a busy stretch for the Opium star, who recently joined Playboi Carti during the latter’s closing set at Chicago’s Summer Smash festival for a performance of the unreleased track “Cover My Ears.” The appearance followed another milestone moment: Carson’s first Sunday-night headlining slot at Rolling Loud Orlando, where he previewed material from xperiment while mixing in cuts from his Billboard No. 1 album More Chaos and fan-favorite tracks from his 2023 breakthrough A Great Chaos.

That set also featured appearances by Lil Tecca, Destroy Lonely, Young Thug and Playboi Carti, with Carson debuting additional new music produced by 2hollis.

Carson recently completed the sold-out WTF tour across Europe and the U.K., joined Carti on the Antagonist 2.0 tour and expanded his fashion footprint through collaborations with Affliction, SKIMS x Cactus Plant Flea Market and Jesse Jo Stark’s Deadly Doll line.

The album reveal comes on the heels of another major booking: Carson will headline the first night of ComplexCon 2026 as part of Opium’s takeover of the festival’s 10th anniversary celebration in Los Angeles. He’s slated to top the bill on Oct. 3.

Before then, Carson will spend the summer on the international festival circuit, with appearances at Roskilde in Denmark, Germany’s Splash! Festival, Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland, Clout in Poland and Austria’s Frequency Festival.

In related news, Opium colleagues HXG have also released a new single, “RedRum,” which precedes a long-awaited full-length LP.
