Beyoncé and JAŸ-Z have once again blurred the lines between romance, legacy and musical history, joining forces on a new remix of “MORNING DEW (DONK)” — the surprise Beyoncé release that kicked off a countdown to the 20th anniversary celebration of her landmark B’Day album.
As previously reported, Beyoncé introduced “MORNING DEW (DONK)” on July 4 as her first new song in two years and the opening chapter of a B’Day anniversary campaign. Written alongside Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon and produced by Beyoncé and Pharrell, the track offered fans a glimpse into the superstar’s vault while reconnecting with the sleek, adventurous R&B that defined an era.
Now, the song’s latest evolution brings in her most famous collaborator. JAŸ-Z appears on the newly released remix pack, adding a rare guest verse that marks another chapter in the Carters’ decades-long creative partnership. “My watch is vintage / I don’t need nothin’ new,” he proclaims before adding, “We just makin’ love / we just gettin’ rich / Y’all keep doin’ that / we keep doin’ this.”
Later, he raps, “I caught a fuckn*gga hatin on my wrist / I caught a hoe n*gga hatin on my bitch.” The pack also includes a “MORNING DEW (DONK)” acoustic version that retains JAŸ-Z’s verse, which is his first high-profile guest turn since 2022’s “God Did” by DJ Khaled.
