Speaking at Variety‘s Power of Young Hollywood event, Navarrette talked about being involved in the Oscar conversation. The 25-year-old actress shared that the buzz has brought back memories of enjoying the Academy Awards ceremony with her family as a kid.
“What’s really cool is that the Australian side of my family has been watching the Academy Awards since I was like 5,” Navarrette shared. “So I remember the earlier ones where Hugh Jackman hosted. And he did his big theatre number,” the actress recalled. She was referring to Hugh Jackman’s opening musical number at the 81st Academy Awards.
Amid the growing Oscar buzz, Navarrette could soon get to experience the ceremony from inside the Dolby Theatre. Addressing the speculation, she simply said, “If I’m even invited, it’ll be so cool to sit in that theater and experience in real life what I’ve loved watching.”
