Callum Turner is slowly turning into one of the next big stars in the world of Hollywood. As rumors surrounding his status in a potential James Bond movie circulate, Turner has continued to secure roles in some high-profile movies, and even other projects that allow him to showcase his range.
His next movie, Will Gluck’s romantic comedy One Night Only, is out now in theaters. In celebration of his latest movie coming out, we’ve narrowed down five of the best movies that Turner has starred in throughout his career.
As for One Night Only, that didn’t make the cut for this list. At the time of this writing, the movie seems to be getting mixed reviews, with many calling it a fun but familiar ride through the rom-com genre. Despite that, we’ve gone with five other movies starring Turner to make up the list.

5) Eternity
To kick off the list, we’re going with one of Turner’s most recent movies. 2025’s Eternity is a fantasy romantic comedy that sees Elizabeth Olsen’s Joan, who has died and must choose between spending her eternity with her husband Larry (Miles Teller), or her first husband Luke (Turner), who died earlier in her life during the Korean War.
The movie feels extremely cheesy at times, but does put a really unique spin on the rom-com formula. As for Turner’s performance, he does a great job as essentially the long-lost love of Olsen’s Joan. Their section of the movie, including when Turner decides to sacrifice himself in order to let Olsen return back to limbo, shows he had the chops for future rom-com movies.
4) Emma
One of Turner’s bigger movies, and one where he appeared in another huge ensemble cast. Emma follows the story of Anya Taylor-Joy’s Emma Woodhouse, a young woman living in Regency-era England who finds love and also plays matchmaker for her friends. Turner plays the role of Frank Churchill, a friend of Woodhouse’s and someone who Emma confides in, and who in turn helps her stop finding love for others and find it for herself.
Turner’s role may be minor here, but he and Taylor-Joy’s chemistry is great, and helps carry the movie through some of its slowest moments. He’s also built for these kinds of movies as a natural leading man in a romantic setting, and fits right in with the setting of an older English movie.
3) Masters of the Air
This one is technically cheating, but Masters of the Air is really that good. The show is an Apple TV+ miniseries, so not really a movie, but nonetheless features one of Turner’s best roles. The show is the final of three companion piece miniseries, following 2001’s Band of Brothers and 2010’s The Pacific, and follows the story of the 100th Bomb Group during World War II.
Turner plays the role of Major John “Bucky” Egan, and stars alongside Austin Butler. The show definitely never reaches the highs of Band of Brothers, but features a ton of great performances and surprisingly well-done action sequences. Turner’s role as Egan is also worthy of praise, as he not only showcases the standard militarized role, but often showcases a more aggressive side of Egan filled with inner turmoil.
2) Rose of Nevada
The newest of Turner’s movies on the list, Rose of Nevada is one that fans will really have to sit with after watching. Rose of Nevada is a sci-fi drama from Mark Jenkin, and follows the story of a fishing vessel that mysteriously returns to a small fishing village 30 years after it’s presumed to be lost at sea. Two men, Nick (George MacKay) and Liam (Turner), join the boat’s new crew to begin fishing for the town.
What follows is an absolutely trippy and sometimes confusing film heavy in theme. At its core, the movie thematically focuses on the concept of nostalgia, and how desperate some people can be to cling onto it, especially a small town like the one in the movie. The movie’s use of creative editing and disorienting shots at sea also hone in on the film’s concept of the past, and how it’s usually not as trustworthy as we may think.
1) Green Room
Turner’s best movie is probably one of the most overlooked movies of the entire 2010s. Green Room, directed by Jeremy Saulnier, is Turner’s second major motion picture, and is an absolute hidden gem. The horror-thriller follows the story of a punk band who gets trapped inside of a club after witnessing an attack at the hands of a group of Neo-Nazis.
Turner plays the role of Tiger, the group’s green-haired lead singer, who finds himself completely out of his depth when the band is trapped. The movie also features a star-studded cast, including Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Patrick Stewart, and Joe Cole. Unfortunately, the movie only grossed about $5 million, despite landing on many “Best Of” lists for 2016. If you’re unfamiliar with the movie, give it a shot, and you won’t be disappointed.
