Netflix subscribers finally have an answer about when the Obsession will arrive on the streaming giant. Following its impressive theatrical run and VOD debut, the highly acclaimed horror is set to make its Netflix premiere later this year.

When will Obsession begin streaming on Netflix?
Obsession will officially arrive on Netflix this fall. The movie first enjoyed a surprisingly strong theatrical run. It also recently made its VOD streaming debut. The horror movie marks Curry Barker’s first theatrical release.
According to What’s on Netflix, Obsession will premiere on Netflix U.S. on November 17, 2026. However, the release dates may vary in other territories. The Netflix release comes through the streaming service’s licensing agreement with Universal.
Under the arrangement, new theatrical releases debut on Peacock before eventually moving to Netflix for an exclusive streaming window. Before Netflix, Obession debuted on Peacock July 17. Peacock subscribers could watch without paying extra fees while non-subscribers currently can’t use a free trial.
Fans who can’t wait have other options. Obsession is available through Amazon Prime Video currently. Apple TV+ also offers the movie for viewers. Rental reportedly costs around $19.99 on these platforms. Buying the movie costs roughly $24.99 right now (via Men’s Journal).
The movie stars Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette. The story follows Bear, a lonely college student. He uses a magical toy, The One Wish Willow, a cursed wish-granting stick, to win Nikki’s love. However, his wish creates some seriously disturbing consequences.
Johnston plays Bear, while Navarrette plays Nikki Freeman. It also features Cooper Tomlinson and Megan Lawless, who also appear in major roles. Curry Barker wrote and directed the horror movie himself.
The movie was reportedly made for $750,000 and it became one of 2026’s biggest hits, earning nearly $500 million worldwide.
