Surprise’s Punisher MCU Particular Will get Reliable Identify, Disney+ Liberate Date

Disney+ has announced the release date and title for The Punisher‘s MCU special starring Jon Bernthal.

When is the release date for the Punisher’s MCU special?

The official title of the upcoming MCU TV program is A Marvel Television Special Presentation: The Punisher: One Last Kill. The special will air on Disney+ on May 12, the same day as the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale. One Last Kill is part of the MCU’s Phase Six.

The upcoming Punisher Special Presentation is expected to run 60 minutes. That would make it longer than other MCU specials, including Werewolf by Night (52 minutes) and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (42 minutes).

Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle, a ruthless vigilante better known as the Punisher. Jason R. Moore and Roe Rancell are set to appear in supporting roles.

Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green co-wrote The Punisher: One Last Kill, with the latter also serving as its director. Bernthal and Green formerly worked together on the feature film King Richard and the HBO crime drama We Own This City.

Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Brad Winderbaum are executive producers on The Punisher: One Last Kill.

Bernthal first appeared as Frank Castle in the Netflix series Daredevil. Bernthal’s character eventually led his own show, The Punisher, which ran for two seasons on Netflix.

After a six-year hiatus, Bernthal returned as the Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. Bernthal is not scheduled to appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which premieres on March 24, 2026. It’s unknown if Bernthal will reprise his MCU role for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.

Bernthal is one of the stars of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Punisher can be seen interacting with Spider-Man in the first trailer. Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
