After unveiling it as a major surprise during the second weekend of Coachella, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter will officially release their collaboration “Bring Your Love” on Thursday (April 30) at 3pm PT. The pop superstars shared the news today in joint Instagram post that reads only, “We’ve got something to say about it.”
The Stuart Price-produced “Bring Your Love” is expected to appear on Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions II, which will be out July 3 through Warner Bros. A 19-second preview of the studio version can be sampled below.
On April 17 at Coachella, the 67-year-old Queen of Pop emerged for a run through “Vogue” before premiering “Bring Your Love.” She went on to highlight one of the most memorable sets in Coachella history, when she performed in the comparatively tiny Sahara tent exactly 20 years ago to the day. “That was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket,” she said, likening it to a “full-circle moment.”
Madonna also teased Confessions II material last Saturday at Los Angeles club the Abbey, when she invaded the DJ booth after midnight and then encountered an intoxicated but overjoyed Addison Rae.
Madonna has teamed with other female stars infrequently throughout her career, most notably Britney Spears on 2003’s Me Against the Music and, more recently, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.
