Vintage MTV Display Arrives on Netflix Lately With More than one Seasons

Netflix expands its TV library with the addition of one of MTV‘s classic comedy shows from the 1990s, along with its Paramount+ revival. The original adult animated sitcom aired for seven seasons on MTV from 1993 to 1997, while its revival series has already been renewed for a fourth season.

What classic MTV show is now on Netflix?

As of today, Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection (Vol. 1-3) and Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head (Seasons 1-2) are now officially available to stream on Netflix. Following its debut, the iconic show quickly became a pop culture staple because of its unadulterated, satirical commentary on youth and adolescence. The story revolves around two socially awkward teens who often get into ridiculous situations due to their lack of empathy and intelligence.

In 2022, the beloved animated comedy received a two-season reboot order as a Paramount+ original. After two seasons, the third installment was moved to Comedy Central. The original show currently holds an 86% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes, while the reboot has a slightly higher Popcornmeter score at 92%.

“The iconic animated duo Beavis and Butt-Head return and are sillier than ever as they embark on a mission to confound common sense and torment each other in a series of inane misadventures,” reads the Paramount+ revival’s official synopsis.

The original MTV show and Paramount+ revival hail from Emmy Award-winning creator and writer Mike Judge, who also voices the titular characters. The titular duo originated in Judge’s 1992 short film Frog Baseball, which was broadcast by MTV’s animation showcase Liquid Television. The revival is currently executive-produced by Judge, Lew Morton, and Michael Rotenberg, alongside Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio for Titmouse.
