Oasis Finds First Reunion Document Teaser

One year after Oasis launched arguably the most lucrative and emotionally fraught reunion tour in rock history, fans are finally getting their first proper look behind the curtain.

The teaser trailer for Don’t Look Back in Anger, the forthcoming documentary chronicling Liam and Noel Gallagher’s first trek together in 16 years, arrived today (July 4) ahead of the film’s September theatrical debut, offering glimpses of reconciliation, recrimination and, if Liam is to be believed, “chaos.”

The nearly two-minute teaser opens by revisiting the skepticism that greeted Oasis’ improbable reunion announcement in 2024. “I just don’t see myself onstage with Liam. I just don’t see it,” Noel says in what is presumed to be archival audio, while his younger brother reflects more bluntly on the band’s bitter 2009 split: “The way it finished… unacceptable.” An unidentified woman sums up the sentiment shared by millions of fans worldwide: “I thought it would never happen. And some still aren’t convinced.” As rehearsal footage gives way to scenes of delirious stadium crowds and backstage embraces, Liam offers a succinct mission statement: “It’s gonna be chaos.”

As previously reported, Don’t Look Back in Anger will premiere in select IMAX theaters and cinemas this September before streaming internationally on Disney+ and domestically via Hulu and Disney+ later this year. The film, presented by Disney+, Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, follows Oasis’ Live ’25 trek through rehearsals, backstage moments and, perhaps most tantalizingly, the brothers’ first joint interviews in more than two decades.

Created by Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose previous music film credits include LCD Soundsystem’s Shut Up and Play the Hits and the New York rock documentary Meet Me in the Bathroom, the project promises unprecedented access to what became one of the defining musical events of 2025. According to the filmmakers, the documentary captures not only the band’s sold-out global tour but also “the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.”

“The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation,” Knight says. “Don’t Look Back in Anger is not only your ticket to the show — it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.”
