Gaga, Bunny, Taylor Swift Ranking Emmy Nominations

Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter are among the music stars headed to the 2026 Emmy Awards after this morning’s (July 8) nominations were unveiled.

Bad Bunny scored the biggest music-related haul, with his Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny earning nine nominations — the most ever for a Super Bowl halftime show. The special is up for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) alongside bids for directing, production design, choreography, technical direction and camerawork, hairstyling and lighting design, among other categories.

Swift picked up her second career Emmy nomination as a producer on Disney+’s Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show, which will compete for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded). The concert film also received nominations for directing, picture editing for variety programming, technical direction and camerawork, and sound mixing for a variety series or special.

Gaga added another Emmy nomination to her résumé in Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “The Dead Dance,” written and produced with Andrew Watt and Cirkut for Netflix’s Wednesday. The nod brings her career Primetime Emmy total to six, in addition to her Sports Emmy win for her 2025 Super Bowl performance of “Hold My Hand.”

Sabrina Carpenter also earned an Emmy nomination, as The Muppet Show episode including her cameo landed in the Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) category, where it will compete against Swift’s Eras Tour film.

Voting closes Aug. 26, followed by the Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies on Sept. 5-6. The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held Sept. 14. Click here for a full list of nominees.
