The Strokes Set Large Queens Gig In October

When The Strokes unveiled their 2026 world tour earlier this spring, New York fans immediately noticed one glaring omission: no hometown show. That gap has now been filled in emphatic fashion.

The band has announced a massive Oct. 2 performance at Queens’ Flushing Meadows Corona Park, turning the evening into something closer to a one-day festival than a standard tour stop. Joining the Strokes on the bill are Beach House, reunited local art rock heroes TV on the Radio and fast-rising New York dance-punk outfit Fcukers.

Promoted by local company Bowery Presents, the event marks a return to one of New York City’s most iconic outdoor concert sites, as Flushing Meadows Corona Park is also home to the just-wrapped Governors Ball festival.

Tickets go on sale June 18 at 10 a.m. ET, with a fan presale beginning June 17. According to the event’s ticketing information, fans will have multiple options, including General Admission, GA+, VIP and Platinum packages. VIP offerings include premium viewing areas, expedited entry, dedicated bars and upgraded restroom access, while Platinum packages add elevated hospitality experiences and premium amenities.

The announcement arrives as anticipation continues to build for Reality Awaits, the Strokes’ first new album since 2020’s The New Abnormal. The project was originally expected June 26 but has been pushed back to July 24 for unknown reasons.

The Strokes performed only six times combined in 2024 and 2025 but will visit such festivals Outside Lands, Bonnaroo, Shaky Knees, Sea.Hear.Now and Tokyo’s Summer Sonic through late September.
